Spark!

This presentation first describes (a) a theory explaining the link between learning disabilities and deleterious outcomes, (b) a self-regulated learning model appropriate for use with students with learning disabilities, and (c) ways in which resilience and success can be fostered in disengaged youth. Second, based on the presented literature, it outlines a program (designed by the 526 students) for high school students with a learning disability to gain job-skills.
